Can you do a video on more plant sensors? I have a bunch of house plants & live in AZ where the needs fluctuate wildly. I need something small that blends in with the soil, is rechargeable and sends updates to my phone. Your option is not practical with needing an external cord and/or battery

Would love a video for the universal remote. Quick question in the meantime – can it work without its hub via home assistant with zigbee, etc? The standalone remote is about half the price as with the hub on Amazon

  9. With so many advances in ai I really wonder how long until something like sarah from eureka or Pat from Disney’s smart house is going to become a whole package normal people can buy for their homes. Alexa is getting there but compared to the aforementioned ai’s it’s still pretty limited.

  14. Reed! I have a question on the bond. So I am looking for a device that can control RF fans for the whole house. First thought was the bond. I remember a coworker telling me about it a few years ago. But, the Aqara M3 hub also came up when I did a quick search. However, I can’t find definitive information that it can control RF fans in the same fashion that the Bond can. Would you happen to know? 7:59

  15. I’m in smart home Hell right now. I love the idea and the uses behind a smart home, but I think I made poor choice Starting to build off a smart home and it gets expensive redoing everything. Right now my issue is trying to find a hub that has compatibility with all my stuff. I do have an instance of Home Assistant running on
Proxmox vm- and just recently purchased a Homey pro hub. My main smart home is Google as I have lots of Google devices Google cameras, and they had lots of compatibility when I first started. So far Google or home assistance have been my best for adding the most devices, but Google is dumb and home assistance is taking too much of my time. Would it be better just to sell off most of my stuff and stuff from Ground Zero or keep waiting for people to develop better support for all my devices

  29. Great Video. I’m actually very interested in that TrampleTek Blue pressure mat. I already have a Bed Occupancy sensor I made with a random mat off of Amazon and a ESP32, but because it’ll false trigger all the time, I had to build in like a 3 second delay to avoid false triggers, like when rolling around on the bed.

So my question is, does the blue pressure mat you showed have a built in delay or is it pretty instantaneous? Should I expect rolling around on bed will give false triggers?
