In India most of the cheap brands also use the ykk zippers…in price of like 1300 to 5000 rupees or 17 to 70 dollars
The cuffs on my jeans look like the cheaper one but at the same time they have the ykk zipper. This is interesting

i have never in my life heard of smelling shoes to know if theyre leather. shoes should have a sticker on them that tells you what material is every part of the shoe. Also, theres better ways to figure out wether the shoe is leather or not even if it doesnt have the sticker anymore (say its thrifted or sum)

For shoes i usually go for a shoe company only
jeans – check seams at the cuffs
zippers – check YKK is written
shirts – check for loose seams

Goodfellow brand jeans have YKK Zippers and the finish down the leg, along with chain stitching on the inside of the hem. They’re literally anywhere from $22-$33 dollars. I don’t think price has much to do with it, even George jeans from Walmart have YKK zippers and they’re less than $20. Brands just seem to pick and choose what they want to do with the jeans no matter what the price is. Levi’s are more expensive and don’t even have any of those features, they don’t use YKK zippers , cheaper stitching down the leg, hem isn’t chain stitched. Companies are weird like that. 🤷🏻♂️
